Inspiring Scholars has a mentoring program that connects new Butte College students who have been in foster care with former foster youth who have been at Butte College for at least a year and have been successful in their classes. The mentoring program requires mentors and students to check-in with each other weekly (by phone, email, or text) and to meet once a month in person. The mentoring program requires a one year commitment for students who have been in foster care and mentors.
